Mumbai: Bombay high court on Friday morning received a bomb threat email, the second in a week, which turned out to be a hoax after a security drill was conducted and the entire premises was thoroughly checked.
There was no evacuation on Friday as the court was empty.
On Sept 12, the HC had received a similar threat email which led to the suspension of hearings for a few hours as lawyers, staff and litigants were asked to vacate the premises. A police team, a bomb detection and disposal squad, and a dog squad carried out thorough checks, but nothing untoward was found. Azad Maidan police later registered an FIR against the unidentified accused.
