Chennai: Woman stabs live-in partner after suspecting affair; man dies

CHENNAI: Faridha Begam, 31, from Guwahati allegedly stabbed her live-in partner Imran Syed, 31, of Assam after he grew close to another woman near Oragadam on Thursday night. Police said Syed was working as a loadman at a private factory. Over the past few months, Syed reportedly became close with another woman, which led to frequent arguments and physical altercations between them. On Thursday night, Begam became suspicious of Syed and questioned him, leading to a heated verbal dispute. In a fit of rage, she reportedly stabbed him multiple times with a knife.Syed succumbed to his injuries on Friday night. Police registered a case of attempted murder and arrested Begam.tnn
