Megablocks on Central Railway suburban, no blocks on Western Railway today

MUMBAI: Central Railway, Mumbai division will operate megablock today on its suburban sections to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. The block will be on the Up and Down fast lines between Matunga and Mulund stations from 11.05am to 3.55pm.

The Up fast line services departing Thane from 10.50am to 3.46pm will be diverted on Up slow line at Mulund, halting at their respective scheduled halts between Mulund and Matunga and further re-diverted on UP FAST line at Matunga station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

There will be rail block on Up and Down Harbour lines between Kurla and Vashi stations from 11.10am to 4.10pm. Special suburban trains will run on CSMT Mumbai – Kurla & Panvel – Vashi sections during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations from 10am to 6pm during the block period.

There will be no rail block over Western Railway suburban section and this will be a relief to several passengers taking the local train today.
