Mahayuti likely to promise Rs 5L interest-free Ladki loans

MUMBAI: The Mahayuti is likely to announce a Rs 5 lakh interest free loan to beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Scheme to help them start a micro enterprise, said sources. Open spaces across Mumbai will be exclusively maintained by the BMC with no private participation are some of the major promises to be announced in the Mahayuti manifesto.The manifesto will be released on Sunday jointly by CM Devendra Fadnavis and Dy CM Eknath Shinde.Sources said amongst the major announcements are completion of all roads in cement concrete with utility corridor, a Rs 17,000 crore budgetary provision for envt and setting up of an Envt Protection Authority on the lines of Tree Authority, an innovation hub and use of AI and digital platforms to increase transparency in administration. BJP city chief Ameet Satam said the manifesto has been prepared after seeking opinion from Mumbaikars. Over 2.6 lakh residents participated in the online survey, he said.
