KDMC cancels permission of private hospital in Kalyan

KALYAN: The Health Department of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (

KDMC

) has cancelled

permission

given to private Janki Global

hospital

situated in Kalyan (East) claiming the hospital is situated in an illegal

Chaitanya

building and hence they cancel permission given to the hospital.

The health department chief Dr

Ashwini Patil

issuing an order has asked the hospital administration to stop taking new admission of patients and only treat old patients undergoing treatment till they did not get cured.

The action was taken after city-based activist Vinod Tiwari complained KDMC administration that hospital is situated inside illegal Chaitanya Palace building and demanded cancellation of permission given to the hospital.

After complaints, KDMC investigated complained and found the building in which hospital constructed and hence taken the decision as per Bombay Nursing Act 1949.
