MUMBAI: Over 30 students turned up at
Mumbai University’s third open house to address exam-related grievances, at the Kalina campus on Friday. For the first time, the dean of commerce, science and technology were present along with the examination controller and pro-vice chancellor Naresh Chandra.
The complaints ranged from document verification, revaluation, convocation certificate, to attendance issues. Controller Dinesh Bhonde said, “There were 24 complaints. Two students, who had problem with marksheets, got them on the spot. Some came for photocopies, which were delayed.” Apart from regular marksheets and results related problems, five students from a college in Vile Parle were detained for lack of attendance. They were directed to an appeal committee, said Bhonde.
Some MCom students whose results were announced two months ago had not yet got their marksheets. The complaints were addressed individually by the panel and if possible necessary action was initiated immediately, a student said.
