Bhagyalakshmi, Anupamaa, Meet, Qurbaan Hua Actor Parakh Madan believes that competition and the race to excel are there in every field. "The pressure to keep up, level up, and outpace others has always been there. I personally thrive in a competitive environment, I think treating the race as a marathon instead of a sprint is the key. Like the famous saying goes, 'Lambi race ka ghoda bano' (become a long-distance runner)," she shared.
She is truly satisfied with her life and shared, "I’m truly blessed to have never had to struggle for the physiological, safety, and love/belonging needs in life. So, food, clothes, home, health, family, and marriage are all included in the above. I am currently working on esteem needs like career, success, name, and fame, are the ones ."
But she is a procrastinator and wants to get rid of this habit. She said, "It’s an old habit of mine that I’m still working on conquering. And I’m trying really hard to overcome it because I do feel that if we don’t live the present moment fully, we will never be satisfied with anything, at any time in life."
Though work keeps her busy, Parakh believes that if we are not happy with ourselves, we can’t make anyone else happy.
She said, "What’s the point of living a life when you are constantly in a miserable and critical state of mind? And me-time is all about doing things for yourself. It is a must. Always remember that "self-love is not selfish."
And she feels time management is the key to life management. "I love making to-do lists and short term goals to make the utmost use of my time. And the satisfaction I get when I check off the items/tasks on my list at the end of the day is very fulfilling for me," Parakh ended.
