Duo robbed of mobiles, cash in Ambernath

KALYAN: Two youths, Akhilesh Verma (20) and Rohit Verma (21) working as sales boys at a steel shop in Anand Nagar, MIDC area in Ambernath were robbed by three unidentified men on Tuesday morning. When Akhilesh protested, the robber attacked him with a knife.
The incident was captured in the shop's CCTV camera. According to the police, the accused threatened Rohit and snatched his cellphone and Rs 12,000 in cash and later demanded Akhilesh's phone.Police said when Akhilesh denied to give his phone one of the accused who was carrying a knife started stabbing him and later fled with his phone.
A case has been registered.
