Cyclone Tauktae: The damage it left in its wake

Cyclone Tauktae created havoc in Mumbai and many other parts of Maharashtra as it made its way to Gujarat on Monday. While Mumbaikars started the day on Monday enjoying the weather in the morning, the cyclone left a trail of destruction. Many vehicles were damaged as trees collapsed in different parts of the city. Mumbaikars also complained of electricity outages on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Indian Navy has rescued at least 146 people on board a barge that went adrift in the Arabian Sea near Mumbai hours before Cyclone Tauktae made landfall on the Gujarat coast.
