Bareilly: Following the firing incident at Bollywood actor

Yogi Adityanath has assured strict action against the accused. Disha's father, Jagdish Patani, a retired DSP of UP Police, said CM Yogi called him on Sunday evening and assured him that there would not be any lapses in his security.
"We are with you in your difficult times, and strict action will be taken against the accused," CM told Jagdish Patani over the phone.
The incident took place on Friday evening when two bike-borne men allegedly fired seven rounds outside the Civil Lines residence of the actor's family. Disha was not present at home, but her father, Jagdish Patani, and mother Padma, along with her siblings Khushboo and Suryansh, were inside.
Narrating the sequence, Jagdish Patani said he sensed something was amiss when their dog barked persistently at a parked motorcycle. On stepping out, he saw two men wearing helmets were keeping in wait and confronted them. "Without uttering a word, they opened fire from a foreign-made gun. My police reflexes kicked in, and I dodged the bullets," he said.
Soon after the attack, a post from an account identifying itself with gangster Goldy Brar's group claimed responsibility, citing "insults to revered saints."
However, the account was deactivated within hours. Police said the profile appeared to be newly created, and the cyber cell is probing its origin.
Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya said police have "some vital leads", but refrained from confirming any link with gangs until investigation is complete.
The firing is suspected to be linked to a July controversy involving Disha's sister, Khushboo Patani, a retired Army major and wellness coach, who criticised ‘katha vachak' Aniruddh Acharya for a "misogynist" remark. Her comments were later misinterpreted as being directed at Vrindavan-based seer Premanand Maharaj.
