Morphed Karnataka CM poster found in temple hundi

MANGALURU: A defamatory poster of the CM and his son and condoms were retrieved from hundis in an Ullal temple during counting on Tuesday night.

Police said mischievious elements appeared to be at work to disturb communal harmony in the coastal district and would be dealt with strictly.

Hours after the hundi finds were reported, police were called to Mulara Gopalakrishna Bhajana Mandir in Konaje on Wednesday morning, where the premises were defiled by unidentified miscreants. Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, who visited the site, said temples and other religious places should install CCTV cameras to check and punish such culprits.

On Tuesday night, the Koragajja temple management found several condoms and a morphed poster — showing CM BS Yediyurappa and his son MP BY Vijayendra sporting a cross — with objectionable messages scribbled across. The poster called for all corrupt political leaders to be killed, police said. A complaint has been registered.
