Babli

, a 15-month-old female Doberman to its dog squad, and thereby increased the strength of the squad to four.
Babli was trained at the Dog Squad Training Centre of the Bengaluru City Armed Reserve unit, Adugodi, for more than seven months, from July 2021.
She was procured from an agency in Bantwal for Rs 20,000. At present, policemen Kushalappa Poojary and Ravi Gowda are the handlers of Babli.

said that Babli has been trained to assist the police in solving crimes.
“Babli has been inducted into the dog squad, and she will be assisting our team to solve crimes in Mangaluru city,” the commissioner said.
Very soon, a Labrador retriever will also be added to the city dog squad, he added.

,58, who had met with an accident, succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
Sadashiva, a resident of Panjimogaru, had met with an accident on Monday, while he was riding a two-wheeler from Kadri to Kottara, at 10pm. His two-wheeler hit a road roller, due to which he sustained head injuries.
He was shifted to a private hospital, where he was was undergoing treatment.
He had served in the police department for 30 years. City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar expressed his condolences.
A ceremonial guard of honour was offered to the deceased at the City Armed Reserve premises.
