Investigations revealed that the accused intentionally altered his birth date from Feb 4, 1972, to May 5, 1982, in his Aadhaar card to circumvent age-related documentation hurdles. He further manipulated the spelling of his name and his father's name to bypass the verification system to secure a new passport, which he used to travel to Dubai for work in 2024. Following a complaint by the immigration wing, the Avaniyapuram police registered a case under various sections of the BNS and the Passports Act and arrested him.
