‘All cops must get maximum punishment’

Jeyaraj's wife and mother of Benicks, J Selvarani, and Jeyaraj's daughter and elder sister of Benicks, J Persis, who came to the Madurai district court on Monday, said that maximum punishment must be awarded to all the nine police personnel so that such incidents do not happen in the future.Addressing mediapersons, Persis and Selvarani said that they were waiting for this day for more than five years. "The court convicted all the nine police personnel. We believe in the court and hope that appropriate sentences would be imposed on the police personnel on March 30 People committing such acts would have fear," they said.
