MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur seeks clean water for South Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Worried about unsanitary conditions and the supply of contaminated water in various areas of the Ludhiana South assembly constituency, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Rajinder Pal Kaur China met municipal commissioner Shena Aggarwal on Tuesday at the MC zone D office in Sarabha Nagar.

The MLA reported the “carelessness of the sewer cleaners who fail to clear the silt taken out of the gutters”. She also reported improper garbage lifting from the localities and severe water accumulation on many streets of the constituency. She wants these issues resolved on priority, saying the situation can lead to an outbreak.

Rajinder Pal Kaur said that: “Accidents happen because the sewer cleaners do not clear the removed silt from the roadsides. Two-wheeler riders skid on this filth. Streetlights don’t work.” Aggarwal claimed to have told the staff to take action.
