Ludhiana’s 70 govt schools to ‘don AAP colours’.

For inside walls of the classrooms, at the dimensions of 4x6 bronze mist colour and the roof's colour has been directed as sea oats. For the school verandas, corridors and borders, the colour rhapsody and at the walls egg custard has been approved. The specifications, as written in the orders, are to be followed by all schools. The schools have also been directed to be in contact with the junior engineers (JE).For the first phase of whitewashing/painting as per the colour code, an amount of Rs 17.44 crore has been released to the district education officers (DEOs) as stated in the orders. The school officials have been directed to ensure the best possible use of funds during this process. However, the order dated December 22, 2025, also has a reference picture attached to it showing how the schools will be looking after the whitewash/painting process (blue and yellow)."The schools should be kept far away from such levels of politics. These should only be running as per educational guidelines not as per political agendas. These school buildings were built by hard-earned money of the common people and taxes filed by them. The school buildings should only represent the education sector not any political party. This looks like an advertisement strategy for the current ruling party," said Vikramdev, president, Democratic Teachers Front (DTF), Punjab."If there was any need of painting the schools, the schools should have decided on their own or there should have been choices for the colours. The focus should be on making the policies as per the needs in the education sector in Punjab and the vacancies that are supposed to be filled. Children should not be targeted for political advertising strategies. We strongly condemn this specific colour coding in the schools." he added.
