has resigned from his post. In his resignation letter sent to Punjab state
BJP president and Union minister Vijay Sampla, Mohit though has cited personal reasons behind resigning from the post of district president but sources told that he is not at ease with a senior party leader in the state unit and preferred to relinquish the charge.
Before being appointed district president nearly two years ago, Mohit was state president of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha(BJYM). He is considered well connected with relations with a number of ministers in union government and party functionaries.
Mohit when contacted said that "he is resigning from the post due to personal reasons but will continue working as an active member of the party". He said I have forwarded the resignation to state president.
