LUCKNOW: The 400th birth anniversary of ninth

Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur

was celebrated in the gurdwaras of the city on Sunday. Amid prayers, community feasts, and kirtans, thousands of Sikh devotees paid obedience to the Guru in the gurdwaras which were decorated with flowers on the occasion. Due to the pandemic, gurdwaras, did not organise elaborate celebrations.

, ‘rehraas sahib’ (evening prayer) was followed by

shabad kirtan

, head granthi of the gurdwara, shed light on the life, sacrifice and achievements of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

At Gurdwara Yahiyaganj, floral tributes to the guru. On the occasion of sankranti on Monday, a special gurbani kirtan was organised at Gurdwara Naka Hindola.
