Kanpur: Expelled Samajwadi Party functionary Manish Yadav alias Patre on Monday said party's PDA doctrine now stands for Pariwar, Dimple and Akhilesh.
Yadav, a member of SP state executive, was expelled from the party on Sunday for his remarks against party president
Akhilesh Yadav on the recent Katha Vachak row in Etawah.
"I am not involved in any kind of anti-party activities. I stand by my statement on the Katha Vachak episode. I found it inappropriate that the national president (Akhilesh Yadav) had invited Katha Vachaks to the SP Lucknow office and asked them to perform. If the party feels my statement falls under indiscipline, that is their decision and their perspective," he told reporters.
Terming his expulsion as undemocratic, he said, "If I were to be expelled, I should have been given prior notice. My side should have been heard. Being expelled without any procedure indicates that democracy has ended in the party," he said.
Yadav claimed Etawah district president Pradeep Shakya alias Bablu did not have the authority to expel him from the state executive. "Only Akhilesh Yadav or the state president has the authority to dismiss me. This shows there is no disciplinary process left in the Samajwadi Party," he added.
SP Etawah district president Pradeep Shakya said Yadav's expulsion was due to anti-party activities. "The party operates on discipline, not personal whims," he added.
Prior to the Samajwadi Party, Manish Yadav was associated with the BJP. In Sept 2023, Akhilesh Yadav had nominated him to the party's state executive. Manish Yadav had also unsuccessfully contested against party veteran Shivpal Singh Yadav in the Jaswantnagar assembly election.
