Family fumbles as daddy disappears

Lucknow: When patriarch Babu Badrinath goes missing one not so fine day, family is struck by the fear that he might have run away from home. A piquant situation arises after his son Vikas puts an advertisement in the newspaper, offering Rs 5 lakh to anyone who brings Babu Badrinath back home.
The evergreen play ‘Baap Re Baap', written by Padma Shri late K P Saxena, organised by Kriti Natya Sansthan and staged at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Thursday and directed by Sunil Sonu, was a satire on how insensitive youngsters can be towards their elders.
Characters in the play, Pandit Anokhelal Tiwari and Fazal chacha bring in a person impersonating as Badrinath, all for the sake of earning the hefty reward.
