MLA pushes for UP as women-led industrial growth model

TNNLucknow: Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh has proposed a dedicated 'Mukhyamantri nari shakti industrial promotion policy” to position UP as a women-led industrial growth model, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of women empowerment and chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s governance framework.Singh said UP has made notable progress in improving women’s safety, dignity and participation, and the time has come to make women a central force in economic growth. He proposed special incentives for industries employing at least 75% women or operating as fully women-led enterprises.Citing national schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, he said convergence with state policies could accelerate inclusive industrialisation.The proposed policy includes incentives such as SGST reimbursement, exemptions on stamp duty, 50-75% power tariff subsidies, solar incentives, affordable land and dedicated women industrial parks with plug-and-play units.
