Lucknow: In an effort to promptly address the concerns of police personnel, the Police Commissioner of Lucknow announced the formation of a "Police Grievance Cell." This initiative aims to facilitate the timely resolution of issues related to salary discrepancies, nominees, and other service-related challenges faced by officers and staff within the police Commissionerate.
The grievance cell was established in response to the frequent need for personnel to visit headquarters for resolutions, which hampers efficiency and adversely affects morale. Operating under the existing public complaints cell, the grievance cell will ensure that officers receive timely responses to their complaints, with updates provided directly to them.
Officers are required to submit their issues in a prayer letter through their relevant station or branch, or via WhatsApp in exceptional cases.
Complaints will be addressed within 7, 10, or 15 days, and a receipt will be provided for direct submissions.
A grievance register will track all complaints, with regular reviews conducted by senior officials. This initiative highlights the administration's commitment to fostering a supportive work environment and efficiently addressing the concerns of police personnel.
