LUCKNOW: Lt Gen Shivinder Singh has been appointed as the new Commandant of the Army Medical Corps Centre & College and Officer-in-Charge of AMC Records in Lucknow. He assumed his new role on Monday.Before this appointment, Lt Gen Shivinder Singh served as MG Med at the Headquarters Northern Command. He was commissioned into the Army Medical Corps (AMC) on 25 December 1987 and is an esteemed alumnus of AFMC, Pune. He is a highly skilled Super Specialist in Cardiac Anaesthesia & Critical Care.The General Officer brings with him nearly 37 years of extensive professional experience across clinical, academic, research, and administrative domains. He completed his MD in Anesthesia from AFMC Pune in 1995, a Post Doctorate Certificate Course in Cardiac Anesthesia and Critical Care from the renowned Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre in 2003, a Diploma of Critical Care Medicine from the prestigious Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine in 2004, and a Post Graduate Diploma from AMC Centre and College in 2010.Throughout his illustrious career, Lt Gen Shivinder Singh has held numerous professional, staff, and command appointments, including serving as an esteemed Instructor at AFMC Pune and Brig AFMS Planning at the office of DGAFMS. The General Officer was commended with the prestigious GOC-in-C, Eastern Command & Western Command Commendations in 2004 and 2009, respectively, in recognition of his exceptional service.
