Intense contests mark final of Strive golf tournament

Lucknow: The grand finale of the second edition of the STRIVE golf tournament was organized at Mauri Bag Environment Park and Training Area (MEPTA) on Sunday. In all, 150 golfers participated in the tournament.The tournament witnessed intense competition, categorizing veterans into three age groups. The Veterans Cup was won by Air Commodore Sandeep Choudhary and Lt Gen Dushyant Singh was runners-up. Col Mayank Khare was the winner in the Open category with Col Samar Sirohi as the runners-up. Brig RS Rawat was the most motivating golfer of the tournament. Capt KK Pal (85) was the oldest golfer of the tournament. The Veterans Cup was presented by STRIVE chairman Maj Gen Abhi Parmar and VSM (retired), the open category cup was presented by Sanjeev Narain of BMW. The Veteran Golf Cup was unveiled by the Chief of Staff, Central Command, and patron of MEPTA, Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha. Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha awarded the prizes to the proud tournament winners.Minor prizes were presented by Rashmi Chadha and Maj Gen Abhi Parmar.
