Atal schools shine in CBSE results
Lucknow: The first cohort of students at Atal residential schools who appeared for the CBSE class 10 examinations passed the test with flying colours. As high as 93.2% of the 2,178 students who took the exam were declared successful by CBSE, results of which were announced on Wednesday.
The Atal residential school scheme was initiated by chief minister Yogi Adityanath to provide quality, residential education to the children of construction workers and those who have lost parents or left without support during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the officials, Sangam Yadav from Azamgarh secured the first position with 97.6% marks, followed by Harsh Kushwaha from Varanasi with 97.2% securing the second position, and Harshit from Prayagraj with 95.8% securing the third position.
The fourth and fifth positions were achieved by Ganesh from Agra with 95.4% and Uday Pratap from Moradabad with 95% marks respectively. In addition, the Atal residential schools in Varanasi and Prayagraj recorded a 100% pass rate. More than 50 students in these schools scored above 90%, showcasing exceptional academic excellence.
Stating that the exceptional outcomes is a testament to strong academic ecosystem in Atal schools, labour and employment minister, Anil Rajbhar said, “With strong infrastructure, modern teaching facilities, qualified teachers and a focus on holistic development, this model is helping shape a better future for these children.”
Principal secretary, labour and employment department, MK Shanmuga Sundaram said that prior to the board examinations, structured academic preparation was ensured through regular review meetings with the school principals. “The progress of internal assessments was closely monitored, and targeted academic strategies such as peer learning, mock test series and continuous evaluation were implemented to strengthen learning outcomes,” he said.
According to the director general of Atal residential schools, Pooja Yadav, a disciplined and academically strong environment led to remarkable results. “Coordinated efforts of teachers, administration and management have ensured that every student gets the opportunity to achieve their full potential,” Yadav said.
