3 held for kidnapping, raping 20-year-old girl

LUCKNOW: A case of luring a 20-year-old girl, kidnapping her, sexually exploiting her and then selling her twice for money came to light on Sunday.

The victim, somehow, managed to escape from the clutches of the accused and reached home. After listening to her ordeal, the family members were shocked.

The Thakurganj police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and arrested three accused.

As per reports, the accused Prakash of the locality lured a girl living in Thakurganj on October 20 last year. He held her hostage for two days, raped her and then sold her to Kamal Kapoor, a resident of Biswan, Sitapur.

It was alleged that Kamal exploited her for several days and when she became pregnant, she was sold to Sarwan Yadav, a resident of Sohaliya village, Sitapur. It was further alleged that Sarwan and his friend Awadhesh gang-raped the girl and locked her in a room.

The girl alleged that Sarwan and Awadhesh used to tie her with a rope before raping her. If she protested, they would beat her with the mobile lead and a stick. Awadhesh's sister Rekha and Sarwan's elder brother also used to beat her. On the night of September 10, when it was raining heavily, she managed to escaped from the captivity.

Later, a case was registered against Prakash, Kamal Kumar, Sarwan Yadav, Awadhesh's sister Rekha and Sarwan's elder brother. Inspector Shrikant Rai said that the accused Prakash, Kamal Kumar and Sarwan Yadav have been arrested and a probe is underway.
