CPM Youth Leader Seeks Calcutta HC Action Over Doctored Video
Kolkata: CPM youth leader Dipsita Dhar approached Calcutta High Court on Monday, alleging doctored videos from a political rally speech are doing the rounds on social media.
Dhar’s counsel, submitted before Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya that Dipsita might be ‘lynched’ anytime because of the doctored video, uploaded online to trigger violence. A police complaint has also been filed. However, Justice Bhattacharyya refused an urgent hearing and asked the counsel to put up the case in the regular course.
