Woman killed as scooter, mini-van collide

Kochi: A 45-year-old woman was killed in a road accident in Eroor on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Suchitra Anoop ,45, wife of Anoop Das, from Eroor.The accident occurred around 8.30am at Illikkapady, Eroor, when a speeding mini-van, while overtaking another vehicle, collided head on with the scooter on which she was travelling to work. The mini-van, transporting schoolchildren, was overtaking another vehicle when it collided with the scooter coming from the opposite direction.In the impact of the collision, the woman was thrown off the vehicle, and she fell, hitting her head against the road. City police registered a case. The body of the victim was handed over to the family after an autopsy.
