Traffic curbs in Kochi city for VP’s visit

Kochi: City police announced traffic restrictions in connection with the visit of Vice President on Sunday. Restrictions will be in effect from 8am to 11am in areas from Vathuruthy Junction to High Court Junction within Kochi city limits.Restrictions will affect areas including Willingdon Island, Naval Base, Thevara, MG Road, Banerji Road, Park Avenue Road and Shanmugham Road.
Vehicles travelling from Fort Kochi and Mattancherry towards High Court, Container Road and Edappally should turn right after Thoppumpady BOT Bridge, proceed via Alexander Parambithara Bridge to Kundannoor Junction, turn left to reach Vyttila Junction, then turn left to Kadavanthra Junction, turn right via KK Road to reach Kaloor Junction and proceed via Kacheripady to reach High Court Junction and head towards Container area via Bolgatty Junction.Vehicles travelling from Vypeen towards Fort Kochi and Mattancherry should turn left from High Court Junction, reach Kaloor Junction via KK Road, turn left to reach Vyttila via Sahodaran Ayyappan Road and proceed to Thoppumpady via Kundannoor Bridge.Vehicles from Vyttila and Edappally heading towards High Court can only proceed up to High Court Junction during VVIP movement. Traffic on MG Road is partially restricted. Drone operations are restricted, police announced.
