KOZHIKODE: Actor and renowned production controller Kannan Pattambi (62) passed away late last night while undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment, according to news agency ANI.
His demise occurred around 11.40 pm at a private hospital in Kozhikode, confirmed his brother, filmmaker Major Ravi.
Major Ravi shared on Facebook the news of his brother's demise, he wrote in Malayalam, “My dear brother, Kannan Pattambi, who was a film production controller, passed away at 11:41 PM last night. The funeral will be held at Pattambi's home in Njangattiri today at 4 PM. My younger brother, Kannan Pattambi, has left for his heavenly abode. Om Shanti.”
Pattambi, known for his work both in front of and behind the camera, had been battling kidney issues in recent times.
His funeral is scheduled to be held today at 4 pm at his residence in Njanganthiri, Pattambi.
