Kerala local body polls 2020 live updates: 76.28% voter turnout in 2nd phase

The second phase of the local body polls in five central districts of Kerala held on Thursday saw brisk participation of voters with 76.28 per cent turnout. Two corporations, 36 municipalities, 350 village panchayats, 58 block panchayats and five district panchayats are among the local bodies where the second phase polling was held. Kerala civic polls: 2nd phase witnesses enthusiastic voting

The second phase of Kerala's civic polls in five central districts is seeing a very enthusiastic response from the electorate as after five hours of start of polling there has been a 40 per cent turnout. The first phase of polls was held on Tuesday. on Thursday districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Wayanad went to the polls.

Kerala local polls: Polling smooth in Ernakulam, says district collector

Ernakulam district collector S Suhas said on Thursday that the polling in the district has been smooth, with no law and order issues having been reported. Earlier, the second phase of the local body polls got under way in five districts of Kerala — Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Wayanad.
