Ernakulam rural police recover 224 lost phones in 10 days
Kochi: In a major recovery drive, Ernakulam rural police traced and returned 224 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners within just 10 days. The recoveries were made under the district's lost mobile detection initiative, carried out with the support of department of telecommunications' central equipment identity register (CEIR) portal.

Among the sub-divisions, the highest number of recoveries, 27, was reported from South Paravur. Aluva followed with 18 phones, while 17 were traced in Muvattupuzha. Njarrakkal and Perumbavoor recorded 13 recoveries each. Police said the special drive is continuing, with intensified efforts under way to trace more missing devices and reunite them with their owners across the district.
