Canada mid-air crash: Kerala trainee pilot among 2 killed; Indian consulate offers support

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old trainee pilot from Kerala was one of two people killed after two aircraft collided mid-air near Steinbach in Manitoba province, Canada, officials confirmed.The victim, Sreehari Sukesh, was a resident of Kochi. His body was found from the wreckage after the crash on Tuesday.In a statement posted on social media, the Consulate General of India in Toronto expressed “profound sorrow” over the loss. "With profound sorrow, we mourn the tragic passing of Mr Sreehari Sukesh, a young Indian student pilot, who lost his life in a mid-air collision near Steinbach, Manitoba. We extend our deepest condolences to his family.
