3 Cusat students get Norwegian fellowship

Kochi: Three students of the department of computer science, Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), have been awarded a visiting fellowship by the Research Council of Norway. As part of the fellowship, the students will spend two months at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Vijay Sankar Babu, research scholar of artificial intelligence and computer vision lab, Noble Austine and Omal Sivankutty, third year students of MSc (five-year integrated) computer science (artificial intelligence and data science), are the recipients of the fellowship.The MSc students will receive a funding of Rs 2 lakh and Babu will get Rs 4 lakh. Under the international partnership programme, which is jointly directed by NTNU and Cusat, the visiting fellowship is given as a component of the international project known as international network for image-based diagnosis. tnn
