Patna: As many as 44 students from different departments of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) were selected for the prestigious Gandhi Fellowship of Piramal Foundation.
CUSB placement cell coordinator and public relations officer Mohd Mudassir Alam said the department of mass communications and media studies recorded the maximum placement of 14 students, followed by the department of social sciences (13 students).
The remaining placement offers were awarded to the students of the departments of law and governance, teacher education, social work and development studies. The students selected for the fellowship would get a monthly stipend of Rs25,000 to Rs28,000 for two years.
Under this fellowship, the scholars are required to visit the schools falling under the area of work and educate the children and their guardians about basic facts related to health and education, said Alam.
Central University of South Bihar vice-chancellor K N Singh has congratulated the selected students and wished them all success in their future endeavours.
