Neet has not helped in enhancing quality of medical education, Anbumani Ramadoss says
PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss criticized the decision to allow candidates who scored zero in the NEET PG 2023 to apply for postgraduate medical and dental programs. He argued that this decision would not improve the quality of medical education and instead would lower it. Ramadoss also questioned the need to reduce the cutoff marks to zero when there were already three times more qualified candidates than available seats. He suggested reducing tuition fees in private institutions and prioritizing qualified students to fill the vacant seats.

BHU prof thrashed by suspended students
Former Vice-Chancellor of RML Awadh University, GCR Jaiswal, was allegedly attacked by miscreants who stole his gold chain and a Rudraksh rosary. An FIR has been filed against the accused, and the police are working to apprehend them. Jaiswal had previously taken disciplinary action against the assailants, barring them from classes and hostel facilities. He was attacked while on a morning walk near the university. After the incident, Jaiswal sought medical attention and has since been discharged from the hospital.
