Kanpur: An elderly woman died after seeing her son's body on Friday afternoon, hours after the son himself died of sudden chest pain in Budhwali village of Rendhar police station area in Jalaun.
Hari Prakash Yagnik alias Chhauna, 39, who ran a salon in Malviya Nagar, experienced severe chest pain on Thursday afternoon while cutting hair. His elder brother, Hari Shankar Yagnik, 42, admitted him to CHC Madhogarh, from where the doctors referred him to Orai medical college owing to his critical condition. Late at night, the medical staff sent him on to Jhansi medical college, but Hari Prakash died during treatment on Friday morning.
When his body arrived in Budhwali village in the afternoon, his 72-year-old mother, Kishori Devi, could not bear the shock and she too stopped breathing. The village was plunged into mourning as two funeral pyres rose from the same house.
Family members including brother Hari Shankar, son Bhanuprakash, daughters-in-law Rajkumari and Manju, and grandsons Havaldar and Aryan are inconsolable. Elder brother Hari Shankar said, "Hari Prakash was unmarried. Their father Mayaram passed away about 5 years ago. Now the grief of losing both mother and brother together is unbearable." tnn
