Traffic arrangements reviewed ahead of Ganga Eway inauguration by PM

Kanpur: In view of the proposed inauguration of the newly constructed Ganga Expressway at Mallawan in Hardoi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) Ravindra Kumar conducted a ground inspection in Bilhaur and Araul areas of Kanpur Nagar to ensure smooth, safe and well-organised traffic management.During the inspection, the officer reviewed the diversion plan and designated holding areas, and issued necessary directives to concerned officials regarding traffic regulation. Keeping in mind the expected surge in vehicular movement during the event, he instructed personnel to ensure proper functioning of alternative routes, installation of barricading and signboards, and adequate deployment of police forces.

Station house officers of the concerned areas were also present and were directed to maintain smooth and systematic traffic flow in their respective jurisdictions. Special emphasis was laid on ensuring that emergency services operate without any disruption.
