Rape victim gets financial aid

KANPUR: Chief development officer Rajiv Sharma gave Rs 10,000 to the father of a rape victim of Bidhanu Block, on Saturday at Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital. It might be recalled that on February 9 2009, the daughter of Kanhai Pasi was raped by one of her relatives. She was admitted to LLR hospital. Taking a strong note of her condition, Rajiv Sharma- on behalf of DM Anil Kumar Sagar- visited her and gave her the money for treatment.Meanwhile, during a meeting with his officials, the DM gave orders to collect records of cases related to SC/ST and conduct a review.
