Green Park Hostel drub MUC by 6 wickets in inaugural match of Kanpur Cricket League
Kanpur: Left-arm bowler Neeraj Kumar's deadly bowling (7 for 15) empowered hosts Green Park Hostel to beat MUC by 6 wickets in the inaugural match of the Kanpur Cricket League, held here on Sunday.Green Park, after winning the toss, invited MUC to bat first. The reason behind it was to exploit the cloudy and heavy atmosphere. They wrapped MUC's innings at 53 runs in 18 overs. Only opener Sourav Jha reached double figures, as he scored 19 runs. Three batsmen did not open their account. Besides Neeraj, Vishnu Saroj bagged 2 wickets for 11 runs.
Green Park, in reply, scored 54 runs, losing 4 wickets in 10.3 overs. Yatharth Nagvanshi scored the highest, 19 runs, for his side.
