Cops hot on heels of absconding accused in kidney racket case
Kanpur: Police dispatched on Wednesday two teams to Hardoi and Prayagraj to search for Naveen Pandey and Shivam Yadav, co-accused in the kidney transplant racket case who are absconding.Yadav allegedly supplied medicines, injections and other material for the illegal transplant operations, while, if arrested, Pandey is expected to reveal information about other donors and recipients.Commissionerate Police received several leads from Shivam Agarwal, Parvez Saifi and Rohit Tiwari, who are in custody, on the basis of which fresh investigation was launched. DCP West SM Qasim Abidi stated that after Shivam Agarwal, Parvez Saifi and Rohit Tiwari provided several details about Naveen Pandey, who arranged donors for several kidney patients. The donors were from different cities and were taken to Delhi NCR.Rohit Tiwari had provided information about Shivam Agarwal of Bilgram, Hardoi. Agarwal used to bring medicines, injections and other equipment for the illegal operations. Surgeries were performed by Mudassar Ali. Kuldeep Singh Raghav and Rajesh Tomar administered anaesthesia to the patients.Teams were dispatched to Hardoi in search of Shivam Yadav and to Prayagraj to look for Naveen Pandey. Police will seek police custody remand of Shivam Agarwal and Rohit Tiwari.
