Body of student found hanging in room in Kalyanpur

Kanpur: Body of a 25-year-old BSc second-year student of PPN College, living in a rented room in Awas Vikas under the Kalyanpur police station area, was found hanging on Tuesday morning, said police. The ACP and a forensic team reached the spot, conducted an investigation and sent the body for post mortem.The student was son of , a mason and resident of Thathiya in Kannauj. His father told police that his son had been living in a rented room for about two years. He said that on Monday night, his son spoke to the family on phone and said he was not feeling well and was going to sleep.In the morning, the family made two calls to check on his health, but his phone went unanswered. They called his friend and asked him to check. The friend found the door bolted from inside and on looking through the window, found the body hanging.He informed the landlord and on receiving information, ACP Kalyanpur Ashutosh Kumar and forensic team reached the spot. The ACP said the youth’s mobile phone had been taken into possession. The family members are unable to state his motive for suicide.
