A charged moment unfolds in southern Lebanon. Footage filmed on Friday captures a Lebanese man scaling the historic Qala'at al-Shaqif, then tearing down an Israeli flag and later hurling it from the top of the fortress — all on the very first day of a temporary ceasefire with Israel. Lebanese media reports say an Israeli army unit had briefly entered the site despite the truce. The troops allegedly raised the flag and installed solar-powered cameras before pulling back. Earlier, Gunfire echoed across Beirut’s southern suburbs as celebrations erupted following the announcement of the ceasefire, with residents expressing relief and joy at the pause in hostilities.
