792 recruited at Rozgar Mela in city
Kanpur: As many as 792 aspirants were recruited by several companies in a one-day Rozgar Mela held at the Naraina Vidyapeeth campus, Ganga Ganj, Panki, in the city on Saturday.A total of 2,243 aspirants participated in the event, which was jointly organised by the regional employment office, Kanpur Nagar, and Naraina Group of Institutions, Panki. Candidates were selected or shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and interviews for positions offering Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 per month. Appointment letters were also distributed to the selected candidates by the chief guest.
The programme was inaugurated by MP, Kanpur Nagar, Ramesh Awasthi, by garlanding the statue of goddess Saraswati and lighting a lamp. Awasthi, in his address, said that job fairs like these were a powerful means of providing youth with employment opportunities in various fields. He encouraged the candidates present to continually develop their skills and wished them a bright future.Assistant director (Employment), Kanpur Division, Ujjwal Kumar Singh gave detailed information regarding the utility of the Employment Portal and the outsourcing recruitment process.Various reputed companies including Apollo Hospitals, Iris Life Science Ltd, Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, Sun Pharma Industries Ltd, Natco Pharma Ltd, Ajanta Pharma Ltd, Shivam Enterprises (Ashok Leyland), and Hitachi Cash Management Services Pvt Ltd participated in the event and recruited suitable candidates. tnn
