JAIPUR: Six youths were killed late Tuesday night when their car lost control, crossed the road median and collided head-on with a trailer on the Jaipur-Agra National Highway in Dausa district, police said Wednesday. The crash occurred around 11pm under the jurisdiction of Sikandra police station. The impact crushed the car into the front of the trailer, trapping the occupants inside the wreckage.

The victims were identified as Samay Singh (25), Lokesh (24), Dilkhush (24), Manish (23), Ankit (26) and Naveen (23), all residents of Kalakho village in Dausa. Police said the six were friends who had attended a wedding ceremony in Abhaneri village in the evening and were returning home. SHO Ashok Choudhary said the car was travelling at high speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle vaulted the divider into the opposite lane and struck the oncoming trailer. Rescue teams used a crane to separate the car from the trailer and pull out the trapped occupants. Investigators are probing the exact speed of the vehicle and whether any other factors contributed to the crash.
