Paper leak: SOG quizzes ex-RPSC acting chief for 2nd day
Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) continued questioning former Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) acting chairman Shiv Singh Rathore for the second consecutive day Wednesday in connection with the School Lecturer (Agricultural Science) Recruitment Examination-2022 paper leak case.
According to sources, SOG officials also questioned Rathore about other recruitments and interviews conducted as part of various selection processes during his tenure.
Sources said investigators sought details regarding the functioning of interview boards and the procedures followed in recruitment examinations.
Rathore had also been a member of the board constituted for conducting interviews for the RAS Recruitment Examination-2018.
The questioning of Rathore was carried out on the basis of inputs allegedly received during the interrogation of former RPSC member Babu Lal Katara, who was arrested by the SOG on Sunday for allegedly selling the leaked question paper to another arrested accused identified as Sher Singh.
Questioning of Rathore began at the SOG headquarters on Wednesday morning and is expected to continue till Thursday. Sources said Rathore has neither been arrested nor formally detained in the case so far.
“We are questioning him in connection with alleged irregularities in the School Lecturer (Agricultural Science) Recruitment Examination-2022 case registered at the SOG,” an official said, adding that further investigation was underway as the agency had gathered substantial information during the interrogation of Katara.
Rathore, meanwhile, has repeatedly denied any connection with the case. He had claimed on Tuesday that all matters related to the examination pertained to developments that took place after his retirement from the commission.
