Girls lead Jaipur’s top CBSE Class 12 scores

Jaipur: Girls featured among the top scorers in Jaipur in the Class 12 CBSE board examination results declared Wednesday, with students crediting disciplined study routines, family support and perseverance through personal challenges for their success.

According to results shared by schools till the filing of this report, Prisha Kashyap of Jayshree Periwal High School scored 98.8% in the Commerce stream. From Cambridge Court World School, Nehal secured 98.6% in Humanities, while Chayanika Mandal scored 98.8% in Science.

Kashyap said her motivation stemmed from the belief that “someone somewhere was wishing for the opportunities that she currently has”, which helped her remain focused throughout her preparation. She followed a “quality over quantity” strategy and studied for nearly two hours daily.

“My preparation was shaped by my father’s guidance, especially in building a foundation for Accountancy in Class 11,” said Kashyap.

She said she consciously worked on overcoming setbacks after her half-yearly accountancy marks fell below expectations. “I submitted my phone to my accounts coaching teacher for an entire month so that my mind would not sway and took it back only when I was satisfied with the improvements,” she said, adding that she gradually stopped depending on social media and began enjoying studies.

For Chayanika Mandal, solving mock tests regularly and strengthening conceptual clarity through NCERT textbooks proved crucial in securing 98.8% in Science. She credited her father, a cancer researcher at the University of Rajasthan, for inspiring her interest in the subject.

“Studying science requires fluency in mathematics, as it is fundamental to the field. I practised all the mock tests that my teachers gave along with NCERT, which helped me gain confidence,” said Mandal.

Nehal prepared for the examinations while battling anaemia and digestive health issues and living alone in Jaipur as her parents, both govt doctors, are posted in Barmer.

“In Sept, after my half-yearly exam, one day I started feeling very sick and fainted in school,” she said. She remained hospitalised for nearly two months but continued preparing for the exams.

Among other achievers, Vibhu Sharma of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya scored 96.2% after switching from Science to Commerce in Class 11. Vanshay Ajmani of Jayshree Periwal Global School secured 98.6% in Commerce, while Bidisha Tiwari scored 96% in Humanities with a perfect 100 in Sociology.
