Dr Mahendra Kumar to head RUHS

Jaipur: Dr Mahendra Kumar has been appointed as the new superintendent of RUHS Hospital. He will replace Dr Ajit Singh, who will be the new additional nodal officer of Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). The state govt on Saturday issued the orders for their transfers.
Dr Kumar was working as Professor and head of the respiratory diseases department at SMS Medical College. He said, "I will take necessary steps to bring advanced treatment and diagnostic facilities to the hospital."
The state govt is aiming to develop RUHS on the lines of AIIMS. It will be developed as RIMS. "We will prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for developing RUHS into RIMS. For this purpose, we will visit AIIMS, Delhi, and AIIMS, Jodhpur to prepare a DPR, which will be submitted to the state govt," said Dr Singh. TNN
