Rajasthan tragedy: 10-year-old dies after tie gets caught on hook; chokes while trying to escape

JAIPUR: A 10-year-old boy died of suffocation Wednesday night in Sridungargarh area, Bikaner, after his school tie became caught on a hook while playing at home.The deceased, identified as Kanaram Kumhar, was a student and living with his family at Gusaissar Bara village.Police said, while playing in a room with his younger brother, the tie became entangled on a hook. As he spun around trying to free himself, the tie tightened, cutting off his breathing. Upon hearing his cries, the boy's mother rushed from the kitchen and immediately took him to the hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival, police said.Police reported that they were informed about the death by the hospital. No complaint has been filed by the family.
