2.5 lakh cases disposed of, says Justice
JAIPUR: The Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLA) has disposed of as many as 2.5 lakh cases pending in various courts of the state by way of mediations and Lok Adalats."Considering the huge response from litigants, National Legal Services Authority chariman Justice G S Singhvi hadinstructed to organize a national mega Lok Adalat campaign from Novermber 18 to 23 in which we propose to dipose of a large number of cases by way of mediation and conciliation," said Justice Ajay Rastogi newly appointed Chairman of RSLSA.Sharing his experience of Lok Adalats, Justice Rastogi said the RSLSA has resolved a USD 1.8 crore dispute of a China-based firm in Rajasthan. "The company was overwhelmed with the manner of disposal adopted in the alternative dispute resolution mechanism and we are setting a benchmark as compared to the old adjudicatory legal system which has its own limitations," he said. RSLA has issued a call to all litigants to get their cases redressed through the national mega Lok Adalat to be held from Novermber 18 to 23 to in all district courts and thehigh court.
